What is VDC coordination? VDC stands for Virtual Design and Construction. VDC coordination uses a shared three dimensional model to place conduit banks, junction boxes, supports, and equipment before any material reaches the field. Trades resolve conflicts inside the model instead of in the ceiling.

The Electricians installed this data center scope directly from VDC coordinated drawings and field layouts. Conduit banks, junction boxes, supports, and electrical pathways went in at established locations while clearing mechanical, structural, and fire protection systems overhead.

That approach reduces field conflicts, minimizes rework, keeps raceway routing organized, and holds the electrical scope to the overall project schedule. In a data center, where substantial electrical infrastructure must fit inside carefully planned spaces, coordination decides whether the schedule holds.
