Commercial Electrical Work Coordinated to Your Schedule, Your GC, and Your Building

The Electricians runs a dedicated commercial division across Denver Metro and the Front Range. Our crews handle the full scope of commercial electrical work: service entrances and feeders, panel and switchgear installs, lighting and lighting controls, branch wiring and devices, generators and UPS systems, EV fleet charging, and full data and communications cabling through our Data Division. From ground-up commercial construction to tenant improvements and recurring service work.

What separates the work is the coordination, not just the wire. We run jobs with a single point of contact, sync to the GC’s CPM schedule, phase installs around occupied tenants, work nights and weekends when the operation cannot stop, and close out with the documentation your facility manager actually uses. As-builts. Panel schedules. Warranty paperwork. Inspection sign-offs.

That kind of coordination is why companies like Park Meadows Mall, Floor & Decor, KeyBank, Bellco, Chipotle, Walmart, UCHealth, and the Colorado Department of Transportation have trusted us with their commercial electrical work.

Why Operations Managers Choose Us

Why Choose The Electricians for Commercial Work

01 · Single Point of Contact

One Estimator, One PM, One Foreman

You talk to the same person from quote to close-out. Not a sales rep who hands you off, not a different foreman every week. The estimator who walks your job is the one who runs it.
02 · GC Partner, Not GC Headache

Submittals, RFIs, & CPM Schedule Sync

We have run jobs for some of Colorado’s largest GCs. We know how to read a CPM schedule, respond to RFIs in 24 hours, submit clean shop drawings, and coordinate with HVAC, low-voltage, and finish trades.
03 · Power and Data Under One Contract

Our Data Division Means One Less Vendor

Most electrical contractors sub out structured cabling. We do not. Our in-house Data Division handles the cabling, fiber, server room, and certified testing. One contract, one schedule, one warranty.
04 · Real After-Hours Capacity

Nights, Weekends, Phased to Your Operation

A retail store cannot close. A medical clinic cannot lose power. A multi-family community cannot have residents tripping over conduit. We schedule install windows around your operation so the work happens without disrupting it.

Commercial FAQs

Commercial Electrical FAQs

Do you work as a sub or as a prime contractor?
Both. We sub frequently for general contractors on TI build-outs and ground-up commercial projects across Denver Metro. We also prime directly for owners, property management groups, and facility managers when there is no GC of record. Our estimator will tell you up front which structure makes sense for your project.
What are your insurance and bonding limits?
We carry 2M in general liability coverage with a 5M umbrella policy on top, plus full commercial bonding. Certificate of insurance and bonding documentation are available on request. We can name additional insureds and provide endorsements as required by the GC or owner.
Can you do after-hours or weekend work for occupied buildings?
Yes. A significant portion of our commercial work happens nights, weekends, and during phased install windows that work around occupied tenants, retail floor hours, and medical operations. Tell us your operational constraints and we will build the schedule around them.
What is the typical turnaround on a TI project?
Tenant improvement timelines depend on scope, square footage, and how the GC schedule is sequenced with HVAC, low-voltage, and finish trades. A typical 5,000 to 15,000 sq ft office or retail TI runs three to eight weeks of electrical work spread across the GC schedule. Larger projects scale accordingly. We provide phase-by-phase timelines in every proposal.
Can you handle prevailing wage or government work?
Yes. We have completed work for the Colorado Department of Transportation, the VA Hospital, and other government and prevailing-wage jobs. We maintain the certifications, certified payroll documentation, and pre-qualifications required to bid public-sector work.
Can you handle data and structured cabling, or do we need a separate vendor?
We handle it in-house through our Data Division. Most electrical contractors sub out structured cabling, fiber, and server room work. We do not. One contract, one schedule, one warranty for both power and data infrastructure. Especially valuable on TI and ground-up commercial work where coordination between electrical and low-voltage is the bottleneck.
