Denver Faucet Repair, Fixture Replacement, And Toilet Installation
Dripping faucets, running toilets, leaking shower valves, dead garbage disposals, and fixture replacements across kitchens and bathrooms. We repair and install faucets, sinks, toilets, tub and shower valves, disposals, and dishwashers, with a written price before anyone starts.
Tell Us What Is Leaking
What counts as a plumbing fixture? A fixture is any point where water enters or leaves the plumbing system for use: faucets, sinks, toilets, tubs, showers, and the appliances tied into them such as garbage disposals, dishwashers, and instant hot water dispensers. Fixture work is the most common plumbing service in any home, and the one most often done twice.
A faucet that drips again three months after a cartridge replacement usually does not have a faucet problem. It has a water pressure problem, or hard water chewing through seals, and swapping parts without checking either one guarantees a repeat visit. That is the difference between replacing a component and diagnosing a system.
We check static pressure and look at the supply lines on every fixture call, whether you asked us to or not. It takes a few minutes and it is the reason our fixture repairs tend to stay repaired.

Three Things That Kill Fixtures In Denver Homes
The first one is the reason most repeat repairs happen, and almost nobody checks it.
Water Pressure Above Code Limit
Plumbing code caps static water pressure inside a home at 80 psi. Denver sits on rolling terrain, and elevation differences across the distribution system mean plenty of homes see pressure well above that, particularly in lower lying neighborhoods. High pressure destroys faucet cartridges, forces toilet fill valves to weep, shortens the life of every seal in the house, and voids most fixture warranties. It is also the single most common reason a repaired faucet starts dripping again. The fix is a pressure reducing valve at the service entrance, not another cartridge. We measure static pressure with a gauge on every fixture call so you find out before you pay for the same repair twice.
Hard Water On Cartridges And Aerators
Denver water carries enough mineral content to scale up the small passages inside a fixture. Aerators clog and flow drops. Cartridge seals grind against mineral deposits until they leak. Shower diverters stiffen and stop holding. A lot of fixtures written off as worn out are actually just scaled, and cleaning or rebuilding them costs a fraction of replacement. We will tell you which of the two you are looking at.
Supply Lines Nobody Thinks About
The flexible line feeding your faucet or toilet is the most likely thing in your house to cause catastrophic water damage, and supply line failures are among the most common residential water claims. The failure point is almost always a plastic compression nut that has gone brittle with age. Braided stainless lines with metal nuts cost very little more and fail far less. We replace them as part of any fixture work rather than reconnecting a line that is already ten years old.
Repair The Fixture Or Replace It?
We do not have a policy of always replacing. Here is how the decision actually goes on site.
| Factor | Repair Usually Makes Sense | Replacement Usually Makes Sense |
|---|---|---|
| Faucet | A known brand with parts still available, solid body, finish you still like. A cartridge and seals fix it. | Builder grade or discontinued, corroded body, or a third repair on the same unit. |
| Toilet | Fill valve, flapper, flush valve, or supply line. All inexpensive parts on a sound bowl and tank. | Cracked tank or bowl, a rocking bowl on a failed flange, or an old high volume flush you want to cut. |
| Tub or shower valve | Cartridge or trim replacement where the valve body behind the wall is in good condition. | Failed valve body, no available parts, or a two handle valve being converted to a single pressure balancing one. |
| Garbage disposal | Jammed flywheel, tripped overload, or a leaking sink flange that can be resealed. | Leaking from the body shell, seized motor, or a unit undersized for the household. |
| Sink drain | Slip joint, P-trap, or tailpiece replacement. Straightforward and cheap. | Corroded metal drain assembly throughout, or a rough in being moved for a remodel. |
| Any of them | The rest of the system checks out and pressure is within code. | Pressure is over code limit. Replace the fixture and it will fail the same way. Fix the pressure first. |
Garbage Disposal Care: What Helps And What Ruins Them
Most disposal calls are avoidable. Here is what actually matters, and one item on the right surprises almost everybody.
Do This
Never Do This
If the air gap on top of your sink spits water, something is restricting the drain line. Check that the line from the air gap is not kinked and that nothing is partially blocking it where it ties into the drain.
A garbage disposal needs a properly sized circuit and a switch located where you can actually reach it in a hurry. A dishwasher needs its own dedicated circuit. An instant hot water dispenser needs a receptacle under the cabinet that often is not there yet. Current code also requires GFCI protection for these receptacles in a dwelling kitchen, and older kitchens frequently do not have it.
That is where a straightforward fixture swap turns into two contractors and two trip charges for most plumbing companies. We hold a plumbing contractor registration and an electrical contractor license, so the disposal, the circuit, the switch, and the GFCI are all one visit under one written price.
It also means we notice the things a plumber alone would leave. A disposal wired into a shared circuit that trips whenever the microwave runs is not a plumbing fault, but it is still the reason your disposal keeps cutting out.
